Understanding E-Commerce Platform Costs
Every e-commerce platform charges two types of fees: a monthly subscription and per-transaction fees (usually 2.9% + $0.30 per sale via Stripe or PayPal). Shopify adds an extra 2% on top if you don't use Shopify Payments. WooCommerce has no subscription — you just pay for hosting ($10-30/mo) plus payment processing fees.
