About PickLogic
I'm Ryan. I've spent 15+ years in growth marketing, e-commerce, and digital strategy, helping businesses scale from early-stage startups to $25M+ operations. Along the way, I've personally evaluated, implemented, and managed hundreds of software tools across hosting, CRM, email marketing, e-commerce platforms, SEO tools, and more.
Why I Built PickLogic
Every time I needed a new tool, I'd Google "best CRM for small business" or "best email marketing platform" and get the same experience: a 3,000-word article ranking the same 10 products in the same order, regardless of who was reading it. A solopreneur got the same recommendation as a 50-person sales team. Someone on a $10/month budget got the same list as someone willing to spend $500.
That never made sense to me. The best tool depends entirely on who's asking. A blogger choosing a web host has completely different needs than someone launching an e-commerce store. A freelancer choosing a CRM has nothing in common with an enterprise sales team.
So I built what I wished existed: free, interactive tools that ask what you actually need before recommending anything. Answer a few questions, get a recommendation tailored to your specific situation. No email required, no signup, no sales pitch.
My Background
I've worked across the full spectrum of digital business. I've managed CRM implementations and email marketing platforms for teams of 30+. I've built and scaled e-commerce operations on Shopify and BigCommerce. I've run performance marketing across Google, Meta, and LinkedIn. I've evaluated and implemented tools for SEO, project management, marketing automation, and analytics.
I've also been a founder. I built a direct-to-consumer brand from scratch, handling everything from product design and overseas manufacturing to Shopify setup and marketing. That experience taught me what it's like to choose tools when every dollar matters and there's nobody to delegate the research to.
This background means I'm not just comparing feature lists. I've actually used these categories of tools in real business contexts, and I understand the trade-offs that matter in practice.
How PickLogic Works
Every quiz on PickLogic runs on a weighted scoring engine. When you answer a question, each product receives a score based on how well it fits that specific answer. Your answers are weighted by importance, and the products are ranked by total fit score.
The scoring is deterministic: the same answers always produce the same result. There's no randomization, no editorial override, and no commission-based boosting. If a product with no affiliate program is the best fit for your answers, it shows up as #1.
What PickLogic Is Not
PickLogic is not a review site. We don't write 2,000-word reviews with star ratings and "editor's choice" badges. We don't pretend to have tested every product for 6 months. We don't publish fake user testimonials.
PickLogic is a decision tool. It helps you narrow down your options based on what you actually need, then sends you to the product's site to make your own final decision. We give you the shortcut to the right starting point.
